Today, February 16 and last days,  Turkish Air Force conducted a series of violent bombings  on areas controlled by the Islamic State (ISIS), in the eastern province of Aleppo, killing and wounding dozens of civilians in the town of Al-Bab, which the Turkish army and  Islamist and jihadist factions  (FSA, Ahrar Al Sham, Sham Legion etc.) that fight alongside it struggles to capture it without success for more than 3 months. Turkish officials declared in the past that turkish artillery and aviation are not targeting areas  inhabited by civilians, but images who  appeared immediately after the bombing  show the opposite. The town of Al Bab is the last stronghold of the Islamic State (ISIS) in the province of Aleppo and is under siege of Turkish forces from the north, east and west but also and of pro-government forces (Syrian army) from the south, however those 3,000 jihadists who defends the city oppose further resistance causing heavy losses to the opponents, especially the Turkish military by suicide bombers and attacks from a distance with anti-tank weapons (Kornet / TOW). Our sources inside YPG forces (kurds) and Syrian army  have reported many times that turkish aviation is targeting on purpose civilian areas of the city , populated by Arabs. Once arabs are exterminated and the turkish  army wins Al-Bab, they want to repopulate it with turkmens (syrians with turkish etnicity). Those turkmens will move there from areas in northern Aleppo and they will not oppose a future annexation of the city by Turkey .Ankara’s wish to annex syrian cities like Al-Bab and Jarabulus is well known even since the beginning of the military operation ”Euphrates Shield” that started last august. More than 400 civilians died in Al-Bab since then, majority being children, women and old people. The infrastructure of this city (before the war the population was 63.000) was also  destroyed because of the bombardments.
